Buyers Beware! My Electrolux Refrigerator Horror Story.

Our Electrolux Refrigerator Nightmare – 8 Months, No Resolution

I normally don’t post complaints, but after nearly 8 months of frustration, I feel compelled to share our experience with Electrolux in the hopes of helping others make an informed decision before purchasing their appliances.

We ordered our refrigerator directly from Electrolux on 6/28/2024, but it wasn’t even shipped until 9/25/2024. When it finally arrived, we were excited—until the water and ice dispensers stopped working not long after they completed installation.

This began a long series of service appointments:
πŸ”Ή 11/08/2024 – First repair tech blamed a stand mixer on top of the fridge (highly unlikely) but temporarily got the dispensers working.
πŸ”Ή The next day – The dispensers stopped again.
πŸ”Ή Nearly 2 weeks later – Tech returned, diagnosed a wiring issue, "fixed" it, but again, the dispensers failed the very next day—on Christmas Eve, leaving us scrambling for bottled water while hosting family.
πŸ”Ή Next visit – Tech diagnosed faulty electrical pins in the fridge door, ordered a replacement door, but after another long wait, we found out the order was automatically canceled due to a backorder issue.

After nearly a dozen calls, I finally reached a supervisor who submitted a request for a full fridge replacement. But on 2/26/2025, when the new fridge arrived (with only a day’s notice), the delivery team discovered it was damaged and took it back. Now, on 2/27/2025, we have no working water or ice dispensers and no update on when the next replacement will arrive.

To make matters worse, customer service has been a nightmare:
🚫 I’ve been hung up on multiple times
🚫 Told I could not speak to a supervisor—first because none were “available,” then later because they apparently don’t pickup when customer service reps attempt a call transfer.
🚫 Representatives seem disconnected from decision-makers, making any real support nearly impossible

This has been miserable, exhausting, and incredibly unprofessional. After this experience, I cannot recommend buying an Electrolux refrigerator. I don't think it's worth the risk.
